About Me
I am an amateur photographer based in the north west of England. I have been taking pictures for as long as I can remember; when I was 8 years old I was using a Kodak Brownie 127 but even before that I can remember practicing with an old box brownie.

In my teens I progressed to my first 35mm SLR a Praktika and eventually saved up for an Olympus OM10 which in its day was a great camera.

I entered the digital photography world in 2001 with a Konica compact and then in 2008 I got my first DSLR the Canon 450D. In 2013 I stepped up to my current camera the Canon 6D it is full frame and I love it. (To see what other equipment I use click here)

Since 2014 I have been posting a daily photography blog in the guise of my alter ego Chipster63

If you have a look at my blog (and I hope you will) you will see that I have taken a fairly eclectic approach to photography and I look for photo opportunities wherever I go. While this is satisfying my principal interest is in wildlife and nature photography and here on this site you will be able to see in the various galleries some of my favourite and hopefully best shots.

This will be an ever expanding showcase and so I hope that if you like what you see you will keep coming back
